According the ancient Egyptians, merkaba is believed to be the "light spirit body" (Mer = Light, Ka = Spirit and Ba = Body). The merkba also comprises two tetrahedrons, the structure of which is the first and most stable of the Platonic solids that lends spiritual signficance to its stability and staying power.
